Qr code in confirmation mail was created by Eric Van Tichel
Hi, in my confirmation mail there are two QR codes, a small one which if I scan it gives “search Order_28, and then my phone googles Order_28, and a big one which leads to the booking on the website, so that one is OK. how can i get rid of the small one or can I get it to work? And I saw somewhere in serviceslist.php that there is a section for a zoomlink, is there anywhere in the backend I can configure this?
Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Regarding the QR codes in the confirmation email: their purpose is to be scanned for updating the Check-in status when the customer uses the service. They are not designed to display the order details.
So if you scan the small QR code and it only returns something like Order_28, that is expected because it is used internally for the check-in process.
About the Zoom link: when the OSB Zoom plugin is enabled, and a customer books a service, the system will automatically create a Zoom meeting/join link and save it into the order item.
That Zoom link can then be inserted into the email template sent to the customer.
Best regards,
Dam

OK I did not get to the check in process yet, is there documentation about that? Does employee scan the customers mail then? Or is it the customer that scans the QR code? And is there a dedicated app for that then?
Kind regards,
Eric

Hi Eric,
In OS Services Booking, you can configure the frontend check-in permission from the administrator area.
Please go to: Backend → OS Services Booking Dashboard → Options button in the toolbar
In the permissions settings, you can select which user group is allowed to manage Check-in from the frontend.
After that, users in this group can log in on the frontend and use a mobile phone QR code scanner app to scan the customer’s QR code. Once the QR code is scanned, the system will update the booking check-in status automatically.
So, there is no dedicated app required from OS Services Booking. A normal QR code scanner app on the phone can be used.
Kind regards,
Dam
