Payfast Plugin was created by Wynand Louw
Payfast has changed its website from payfast.co.za to payfast.io.

There seems to be quite a delay and it does not connect to Payfast even if the settings are correct.

Please advise.

I have tested it now, and it seems to be working, despite a brief delay. There is a message indicating that it is busy processing and connecting.

It then displays the Payfast payment options as it should. Not sure if it is clients struggling on their phones or computers.

Which Payfast option should we use?

Payment Data Transfer

This setting must be enabled if Payfast is integrated with an ecommerce platform. With PDT, you are required to contact and confirm the payment with us.

Note: The PDT callback method has been deprecated, we encourage developers to use the ITN method for integration instead.

orInstant Transaction NotificationWith ITN, our server contacts your website and notifies you of the payment. This setting will be overridden if your eCommerce platform sends this information with the payments integration.Regards

Hi Wynand,
It means there aren't any problem with OSB Payfast, right?
Thanks

No, there seems to be no problem, have tested it and it works. as expected. Was just wondering about the fact that Payfast changed their domain extension from payfast.co.za to payfast.io/ but it seems that their .co.za automatically redirects you to their new domain.

Just wondered if you were aware of this and if it could have a impact later on.

Hello Dam

Received this communication from Payfast today:

As part of our commitment to offering you the best online payment service, we’ve made some important updates to our plugins. To avoid using outdated plugins that are no longer supported on your website, please search for your plugin here and click the download button to make the update on your platform.=12.0ptIf you can’t find your plugin on our website, it means we no longer support it and recommend switching to another shopping cart platform. Alternatively, you may contact your developer so that they can maintain the plugin as a 'custom integration' to prevent potential downtime and security exploits.

Regards
Wynand

Hi Wynand,
They aren't related to our OSB Payfast, because we don't submit the Payfast payment gateway into that site. No worry about it
Thanks
Dam
