Unable to add order to cart if using custom timeslots

When I clicked on add to cart it does not get added to cart for some reason. It only works when I am using normal time slots. When I switched to custom timeslots and added max slots as 6 and max booking as 1. It does not work. Please help.

UPDATE:
I found out that the reason for not adding to cart is because if Appointment status is 'back', if you try to book another appointment on the same day while the setting  'prevent registered user from booking more than 1 timeslot per date' is on, you will not be able to add to cart even after clicking the 'add to cart' button.

I really think there should be an explanation for the 'Booking Configuration settings' as there are many settings that are not user friendly and first time users might not know what it does.
