Calendar Buttons tap size

on small devices, such as phones, it can be finicky to select a date as the tap size of just text in the center of button is a small target. Sometimes I have to tap five or more times to hit it just right.

* Would you consider making the whole button the tap target and not just the text?

* and/or if not too complicated could you paste code to change to create this behavior please?

Orange area of button depresses but doesn't select date. Must tap the actual text/number. Same happens on desktop with mouse, be nicer if whole button was the link not just numbrr.
