Text color too light, Remove "checkout"

"I as wondering how can I change the color of the text in the service description to something more visible? " This problem has cause from your Joomla template, as you can see in the demo of OS Services Booking: osb.ext4joomla.com/ , we don't have the same problem. And because the issue isn't come from OS Services Booking so we can only provide the solution to fix it. You can use the Inspector Element too of Firefox to find the css source and element names. And then, you can open the css file to modify the style attributes to fix the problem.
With second question "I REALLY need to remove the checkout cart and calendar at the appointment booking confirmation screen". Unfortunately, OS Services Booking doesn't have feature to remove calendar on the main layout page.
