Me too had the following issue on maps when I updated to version 3.12.5
Warning
JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths.
Whatever I do (permissions/FTP etc) doesn't seem to solve the problem (good thing is that I'm not in production yet!)

The problem seems to be at the location where the maps are supposed to be located.
