Send email to visitors

Is it possible to allow visitors to sign up to receive an email whenever a new property is posted?

Hi Diane,
When registered save their search criteria (from Advanced search page). OS Property has feature to send the alert emails to them when new properties posted that matching with user’s search requests. To use this feature, you need to setup Cron job in your Hosting. Depend on each type of Hosting, we will have different ways to set up Cron task.
The location of Cron file is: root > components > com_osproperty > cron.php

Thank you. And to confirm, the "Activate Alert Email feature" in Configuration - Properties needs to be set to Yes? Or is this related to something else?

Also, I just tested the advanced search while logged into the website but do not see any option for save my search criteria or choose to receive emails. How do I enable this?

When you login at front-end of your Joomla site and go to Advanced search page, you will see the button: Save Search list.
When the Search criteria are saved, user can see their Saved search list through layout: Registered: Search list

Thank you. The Save Search button only appeared after I searched twice on the advanced search page.

I'm still a little confused on this functionality. How do users know they have been signed up to receive emails? Also, is there a way for site admins to see who is on this email list? Can users unsubscribe through the emails? Is there a way to add users to this list without them doing a search?

As i told you, user can see their Saved search list when they access to layout: My Search list, here they will able to decide to receive/not receive the notification emails when new properties uploaded. There are no way to add users to the list without them doing a search.
