Custom field removes sign %

I have a custom field and I don't know exactly what exactly removes the sign %
it is about the field Availability: 100% available, in English is fine doesn't remove it, but in Romanian removes the sign %.
This is very strange as it removes even from backend after I save, is not removed only in front end. What cound be the function wich removes the sign % and where I can find it to disable it?
Before I have had this custom field and worked without any problems, I think it removes after I have done an update of component.
