Favorite Properties and My Saved Search List

Does a register user have to also be a register user(agent/owner) within OS properties to use the favorites properties and My saved search list.

What I am trying to do is allow customers to register on my site so they can do the two above items. But they are will not be able to add properties to the site as they are not an agent/owner, just a register Joomla user.

Just wanted to better understand how I can use these two options.

Joomla Registered user can add properties into their Favourites and the favourites properties can be viewed through layout: Registered: Favorite properties.
JoomlaRegistered user can save their search criteria in layout: Advanced search, and the saved search list can be viewed through layout: Registered: Search list.
