Help re Upgrade from OSProperty 2.8 to 2.9.6

Hi

I have an OSProperty website using Joomla 3.4.5 and OSProperty 2.8.0.

I now wish to migrate to Joomla 3.5.1 and OSProperty 2.9.6 (as this latest version, to my knowledge, is the only compatible version with J3.5.1).

My site is a single language OSProperty site (English).

Obviously, I will take a full site & DB backup before migration. My question is, what are the steps I need to take to update from 2.8.0 to 2.9.6 ? Is it just a case of installing 2.9.6 over the existing installation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You can install OS Property 2.9.6 from Back-end side normally. Your existing data won't lose after installing new version. But i advise you the backup your full site before installing upgrade version.

Thanks for the info. Do I also have to re-install all the modules and plugins, as well as the component?

You need to re-install several modules:
Search module
Random Properties module
