as i said. i downloaded the the version 2.9.0 yesterday.
unzip everything local. needed to add something in the head file. and then i found still that you miss to change that.
And if nobody let you know that. then you never will that out. that is why i telling you that.
The os property is great. but it need improvement in point of security and permission and in loading time .
loading time you can improve by less requests. if you look how many css it must load is it crazy.
the website webpagetest.org shows you clearly all details,
How many request, What are external request . How long it take to load...... And many more.
Joomla is not fast it self. Add on a slow template and slow components and you have waiting time from 11 seconds and more. But website visitor have a behaviour if the page is not loaded within 5 seconds they close the browser. In countries with faster broadband they time is even lower.
I not the expert in PHP or HTML. But i know what to change and where. But if then a new update is coming from os property then i have to do the change again.
Example yesterday i add on to all javascript that they load async. now my loading time drop from 11.04 seconds to 4,6 seconds.
and lets say next week you come with version 2.9.1 then i have to go and modify all the files again. but if you would add the async to all the javascript it will helps every website. And i am sure everybody would be more happy with it.

Hi Mark,
I am understand your idea. But we need time for testing before we can release the version with JS compressed. In the past, we tried to compress JS but it has a lot of problems. I think we will have good improvement about loading speed in near future.
Thanks
Dam
