Hi Stephan,
Your slideshow module uses the Medium pictures of properties. As you know, each picture of property has 3 versions:
Original picture
Medium picture
Thumbnail picture
When you upload Original picture for one property, it will be resized to 2 versions: Medium and Thumbnail.
As i checked in your attachment, the black spaces in the medium picture (on slideshow) are added into picture. You can read about it at documentation of OS Property. Part Using Back-end > 4.2. Add/edit properties > Photo resizing.
You will see why the Medium and Thumb pictures have black (or different colors depend on configured) spaces at (top, botom) or (left, right) sides.
So my suggestion here is you need to check the width size of spaces in slideshow for main picture. And then, you adjust the configure option for Medium pictures (Large image width and height)
And then, re-upload the pictures with corresponding dimensions.
The slideshow will have better images.
Hope my explanation is clear to you.
Thanks
Dam
