How do I edit OS Property files? was created by Brandon
When I go to the backend of Joomla, select the template manager, customize template, and then try to create overrides for OS Property, it doesn't seem to work. When I click the com_osproperty folder and then try to edit a file (such as aeditdetails), I get a message that the override worked. When I go to the editor, however, the file shows up as a folder (the html folder contains a folder called com_osproperty, and the com_osproperty folder contains a folder called aeditdetails). In other words, I seem to be unable to edit any of the files for OS Property, and I am not sure why.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm new to Joomla, so it's possible that I'm just not understanding how customizing templates works. I'm trying to edit OS Property files so that I can try to make it more compatible with another component I'm using. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Brandon

Hi Brandon,
You can only override the layout files of OS Property in folder: components > com_osproperty > helpers > layouts
Please copy all files in that folder and paste to: root > templates > your_current_template > html > com_osproperty.
And then, you can make the modification on those files in template folder.
Thanks
Dam
