Random and Latest Properties are not displaying

I have a few issues:
1. Random and Latest Properties are not displaying
2. Does this component come with a blog module/plugin, if it does, how do I get it to appear?
3. The Quick Search: I am trying to move it to the left, but the background remains at the middle. How do I move the background. Also when one searches here, it comes with advanced search form, how do I avoid this?
