Is Map Module needed for Map Search to work? was created by Wendy Manning
I am having difficulty getting the Google Map menu to show any results even though I have over 800 properties now on the site.
It occurred to me that I might need the OS Google Map Module, I expected this to be in the Template installation but it does not seem to be,
Is it only available as an Add On?
Is it needed for the Map Search to function?

Hi,
OS Property has Google Map Module. joomdonation.com/add-ons/os-property-add...erty-map-module.html
But i am afraid that we are impossible to show a lot properties on the Map. Each properties to be shown on the Map need to have lat, long addresses. And the system must retrieve information of each property. So in case you want to show a lot of properties on the Map. The system will be very slow.
We also receive reporting from some customers about the error when they show more than 100 properties on Map module. So please think carefully before trying it.
Thanks
Dam

Does this restriction also apply to the Map Search Menu item?
I do not have the module, it is the menu in the component that I cannot get to show results.

Hi,
In Map Search, we also have the limited properties too. Because if there are a lot of properties in Search results, the system will need time to process data too. So if customer enter correct address, the extract data will be shown.
If customer enter only state or city names, the system may not show all properties of that areas.
Thanks
Dam
