Email cannot be sent at this time

For the past few days, every time a user tries to email using the contact us forms or request more info forms they get the following error message

Email cannot be sent at this time, please try again later

Any ideas as to why email cant be sent? and how this issue is resolved?

Hi Jim,
Please check your email system to see if it works or not. You can try to add new user at Backend to see if the user receives the email or not.
