details template - modification

Hello all,
I have been requested from my client to modify the template of the item detail
in order to reduce the space between the title and the main table (with all the characteristics)

I'm wondering if there is (in alternative)
- some template modification / options
- some template settings
- create a new default_back template and change it in configuration (where ?? )

before going to change directly the file
template/default/details.html.tpl.php

Hi Alessandro,
As i checked in your site, you are using OS Property (old version). To modify property details page, you can make the modification on :
templates > default > details.html.tpl.php
but i think the wide space problems have cause from css of template. So i advise you to use Inspect Element tool of Firefox to find and adjust the issues

thank you very much for your reply. I will have again a look with firebug
(even if the facebook buttons have padding because are inserted inside the H1 title-tag)

you are confirming me what I was supposing, the (last) change is in the file.

Can I (with this current/old version) backup the template folder (i.e. default2),
make the html changes in it and assign default2 as template for the component
(to avoid me to change original files, that is never an elegant way to proceed)

Yes, of course you can duplicate one existing theme of OS Property, making any modification of that copied theme. And publish it for using
