SOLVED !!! Update os property version was created by Kevin
I note from your website that os property 2.7.4 is now available. I have 2.7.3 but when I click on the link under dashboard/setup to check latest version all I get is the message - [an error occurred while processing this directive] How do I update?

I'm wondering why this question was never answered. I want to update from 2.7.4 to 2.7.5 but I get the same error message [an error occurred while processing this directive] when I click on the link in the Joomla back end. Obviously I can find the latest version without using that link but I really shouldn't have to and there certainly shouldn't be a link if it doesn't work.
Also it doesn't really address how an update is done. Is there a separate file for an update or do I have to install the complete package?

Hi Nina,
There are some reasons of error "an error occurred while processing this directive".
1- Permission of directories in your site.
2- Your memory_limit and max_execute_time aren't enough.
You can submit ticket and send your site information with super admin account. I will check to find the reason for you.
Thanks
Dam

Dear all,
Firstly, thank you for your issue report. We have solved the problem on my site (Joomdonation.com) now the link is working well.
But we need to remind to you that link only provide the information of latest OS Property version. It doesn't allow method to upgrade OS Property directly through Dashboard at Back-end of component.
Thank you very much
Dam

Thank you, Dam, for resolving the problem.
Now can you let me know how an upgrade is done, since as you say it can't be done through dashboard at the back end. Is the new version installed as a new extension through the Joomla extension manager or does it have to be done manually via FTP, overwriting the old files?

Hi Nina,
You can install new OS Property version through Joomla extension manager. When you install new OS Property, your existing data won't lose.
Thanks
Dam
