Sort options for search results

Is there a way to have an option show that allows a user to choose how they want to see the search results? For example, if they want to sort by price, ascending order or descending order?

Currently, OS Property only have configure option to setup the result ordering for layout : Property listing layout.
In the Advanced search page, we have the dropdown select lists to allow customer to sort properties at the result page.

That's actually exactly what I want to do.. have some option (drop down is great) to allow the customers to choose a sort order. I must be missing how to implement this though. Can you tell me how to do this? We are using the mod_ospropertysearch.
