Adding a Company

Hi Jared,
User who want to register company information should be:
1. Registered users
2. He (she) isn't agent
3. He (she) hasn't registered company before

Can you be able to revise that system about adding company? Because, for example, I register to the website and also register as an agent and I want to register my company to the website, and if you are not going to allow me to add a company, how can I be able to do that?

If you are agent, you can't register company information anymore. OS Property doesn't accept that request.

The current steps are as below, please correct me if I am wrong,

1) User -> 2) Registered User -> 3) New Company -> 4) Register As Agent

Is it possible to combine steps 2,3 and 4 and have a single signup page where user creates a new account and at the same time registers a new company as well as registers an agent.

This will make the complete process a lot simpler for new users.

A company admin can't register to become agent. Currently, OS Property doesn't have feature to combine step 2 and step 3. But we consider to think about it in future version.

Thanks for your reply.

I think one option is to build a custom form (using ChronoForms) to register user as well as accept company and agent information. The form can be made to register the new user and save the company and agent information in the OSProperty DB tables. If required, the form can be extended to accept a new property as well.

In OS Property, one company admin CAN'T be agent. So we don't need any custom form to do that purpose

What will happen we a Company Admin is made agent (may be through backend, DB update ) ? Will the system mis-behave ?

Hi,
When you create new company, you also can't select one agent to become company admin. And when you want to assign user to agent acc, you can't select company admin.
Of course the system will have the error when you update through phpmyadmin, not only OS Property, but also Joomla system can mis-behave if user change the db.
