Can't edit files in classes folder

Hello,

when I edit a file which is in the classes folder, my site doesn't load and i see a blank page. Even if I enter an empty line, my site fails to load.

Can you help me to find a solution or at least tell me why this happens?

I too have hit the same issue - I updated an anchor <A> tag in the locator.html.php in the classes directory.
Now all I get is a blank page when I try to view.

Hi,
Please do not put the backup file in the same folder with the modified file. Please create the sub folder, for example "backup" and move the backup files to that folder.

I just resolved and was about to post...

Yes, moving the backup (default) file in another folder and then uploading the modified file solved the problem.
So this topic is solved.
