Hi Dam,

My apologies for this long post, but hopefully this will help others too. I've put all the questions in numeric sequence to help simplify references in a response.

I need agents to be able to self register and add properties. According to the text at osproperty.ext4joomla.com/

“Agent profiles support
User can register to become an agent. Agent can add/edit the properties. Agent is may belong to company or not. ”

Looking at the forum as I have not yet found out how to do this, I however got the following impressions, are these correct?

1. you can only be an agent if you belong to a company?
2. an agent cannot add a company?
3. therefore, a visitor cannot self register, add their details (including company) and start adding properties?

Hoping that an agent does not have to belong to a company, ...

4. how can I allow someone to self-register and add properties without someone having to create a company first?

At some point I may need to integrate with Membership Pro and/or Eshop, but I don't want to do anything that will make integrating with these at a later date an issue. For example, so that a registered user does not have to re-enter your personal or business details if we integrate Membership Pro or Eshop.

5. Is the integration of OsProperty with Membership Pro or Eshop seamless, that is, that from a management and user perspective there will not be a need to re-key known information (login, user name, address, etc.) as these modules are added?

6. Reverting back to the question 4 above, if we can have a user register and add properties without belonging to a company, does that affect integration with Membership Pro or eShop?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Hi,
1. you can only be an agent if you belong to a company?
A: No, user can register without selecting any comapny. And he (she) will become free agent.
2. an agent cannot add a company?
A: Agent can be added to company by company's admin in company profile page at frontend
3. therefore, a visitor cannot self register, add their details (including company) and start adding properties? Hoping that an agent does not have to belong to a company, ...
A: user can register to become agent, OS Property has the layout : Become agent. And when he (she) register to become agent, he (she) doesn't need to select company
4. how can I allow someone to self-register and add properties without someone having to create a company first?
At some point I may need to integrate with Membership Pro and/or Eshop, but I don't want to do anything that will make integrating with these at a later date an issue. For example, so that a registered user does not have to re-enter your personal or business details if we integrate Membership Pro or Eshop.
A: As i answered above, user can register to become agent without selecting any company. Currently, OS Property can only be integrated with Membership Pro component. In that case, you can create the subscription plans that allow agents to purchase them before they can upload properties.
5 Is the integration of OsProperty with Membership Pro or Eshop seamless, that is, that from a management and user perspective there will not be a need to re-key known information (login, user name, address, etc.) as these modules are added?
A: I need clearer explanation.
6. Reverting back to the question 4 above, if we can have a user register and add properties without belonging to a company, does that affect integration with Membership Pro or eShop?
A: In case you integrate OS Property with Membership pro, you can create agent profiles at backend > OS Property > Manage agents. And then you go to Membership > Manage subscribe > And assign plans to users (agents) > Save -> agents can upload properties at frontend.

I need to make some points clear to you.
Agent must be Joomla user. and agents can be managed at backend > OS property > manage agents.
When non-registered user register to become agent, he will be come both Joomla user an agent at OS Property also.
Thanks
Dam

Hi Dam,

Thanks for the quick reply, that was very helpful. :)

I've added a property as a free agent and that seems fine. We may need some customisation, but I'll email you separately on that once I've tied down the changes we may need if that's ok.
