is the j3.0 really overall new set of code ?

meaning its not a pure j2.5/3 code ..

In version for Joomla 3.x and Joomla 2.5.5 -> 2.5.8, there are a lot different with the version for Joomla 1.5 and 2..5.1 -> 2.5.4. The main important point is we used bootstrap style (It's one feature of Joomla 3.x), so we changed almost css classes in new version.
Of course, we still use the base of source code of old version, but we also add changes to make the extension can be run in both Joomla 3.x and Joomla 2.5.5 to Joomla 2.5.8. So customer can't upgrade version manually.
The solution for the customers who modified OS Property and still want to use the latest version is upgrade to the latest of OS Property version, and then, re-do the changes again to satisfy their need.

hi , im confused with the above answer.

my point is if this is version 2.5/3 , and customer req to upgrade manually and update all the changes manually, which is fine, why there is 1.5 codes still in there? ? bootstrap is fine too .

Yes, the latest version of OSP still base on old versions, so there are some parts are the same with old version. They aren't effect to new version, and of course we will remove them in future versions.
