Successful install, still see the default site

Recently purchased and installed the software on my development machine, a Windows 7 box running Apache and Joomla 2.5.8

All the checkboxes are showing green checkmarks in the Osproperty cpanel and I installed the sample data with no problems reported.

I type in localhost into my browser, but don't see any new menu links, just the same default Joomla sample site I got when I installed Joomla. I tried editing the site menus, but didn't see any osproperty items to add to the menus.

I'm a web developer. but new to Joomla, so not sure what step I'm missing here.

Get on the back-end, and create a menu item with one of the Osproperty component Menu Item Type...
I didn't install sample data with Osproperty but I doubt it will add menu items.
