How do you get os property items displaying on home page?

Hi does anyone know how to stop getting properties displayed on the home page?

I have a properties tab and every time a property is clicked on it pops up on the home page instead of the property tab. 

Joomla programmers have suggested uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the old one but then I will not get the updates. 

It was working fine a week ago.

So frustrated.
