Export PDF with non-UTF8 characters was created by Mr. Dam
Dear everyone,
Some customers asked us that they have problem with information of properties when export PDF. Their property data are in non-UTF8 characters, and information are become unreadable when export in PDF format.
Solution for this problem is simple. In default, to limit the size of installation file, we use the simple PDF library, tt is called NPDF. This PDF library works well with UTF8 characters. But for some reasons, it can't work with non-UTF8 characters.
With old OS Property versions:
To solve it, we provide the second PDF library in the installation package. If you open folder "Other" in OS Property installation package, you will see the zip file called "tcpdf.zip". This is powerful PDF library, and it allows us to export "property details with non-UTF8 characters" to PDF file.
To install this PDF library, you only need to copy file "tcpdf.zip" to root of your Joomla site folder, and extract it by using "File manager, Explorer extensions" or "File manage tool" of Hosting Cpanel.
After extracting, please go to Back-end > OS Property > Configuration > Tab: Properties and select option "Tcpdf" in the dropdown select list field "Select PDF library"
With new OS Property version
In case you are using newer OS Property (3.x), it is a bit difference in the solution to solve the issue. In new OS Property versions, we only use one PDF library, it's TCPDF, this library is included in OS Property package.
In case you have the trouble with characters in PDF export, you can follow these steps to resolve it:
1. Download fonts.zip from: www.mediafire.com/file/z1hbluwe243pl2i/fonts.zip
2. Upload that file into:

root > components > com_osproperty > helpers > tcpdf > fonts

and extract it
3. Go to
Back-end > OS Property > Configuration > Tab: Properties > PDF export > and select option: Freeserif in dropdown select list: Select font family.
Done, now, you can try to export property to Pdf and see the result.
Thanks
Dam

In the new version of OS Property is not anymore an option to select the in Back-end > OS Property > Configuration > Tab: Properties and select option "Tcpdf" in the dropdown select list field "Select PDF library". What is the solution?
Basically I have romanian characters and and looks like I have question marks.
