Gmail - EB Registrant / MP Subscriber

Hi Tuan,

After changing various email settings I was about to inform my host about Gmail that MP subscribers do not receive email messages, when I noticed the admin system and Event Booking messages do come through on different Gmail accounts. Could there be a special setting regarding Membership Pro and Gmail subscribers? In essence it should work right?

Hi Marty

No, not something related to EB or MB but it is something from mail server. From my experience, you would need to change settings of DNS records of your domains to have mail deliver properly to Gmail and Yahoo Mail. You should contact your hosting provider support and ask them to check it for you

EB messaging works fine with Gmail and MP does not... isn't that strange?

Yes, strange indeed. However, mail is delivered by mail server of your hosting provider, so it is out of our control. You will still need to contact your hosting provider support and ask them to check . They should have something useful from the logs to see why it could not be delivered to target email address

Hi Tuan,

I noticed the MP gmail being marked as -system- with a different From Address than Global config Mail like EB. Once entered the General Mail Settings in MP the Gmail got accepted.

OK, great. Normally, you would not have to enter From Email Address in configuration of each extension unless it is different with From Email in Global Configuration of your site
