I’m encountering a critical issue with Membership Pro (Joomla) that is now affecting multiple users and needs urgent attention.Issue Summary:
  • A user successfully registers and pays for a subscription (payment is confirmed via email and gateway).
  • Immediately after activation, the subscription shows as expired.
  • When I attempt to edit the membership in the admin panel, the membership record either:
    • Appears blank, or
    • Cannot be updated (expiration date changes do not persist).
Additional Case:
  • Another user subscribed directly to a specific plan.
  • Payment was processed successfully.
  • The membership again shows as expired immediately upon creation.
Admin Impact:
  • I am unable to manually correct or extend the subscription.
  • Editing the record either fails silently or does not retain changes.
  • This is not an isolated incident—it has now occurred multiple times.
Environment:
  • Joomla 5.1.2
  • Latest version of Membership Pro installed
  • Payment confirmations are being received correctly
Concern:
This appears to be either:
  • A database write/update issue
  • A plugin/payment callback conflict
  • Or a bug related to subscription activation/expiration logic
At this point, it’s impacting paying users, so I need to identify:
  1. Why subscriptions are being marked as expired immediately after valid payment
  2. Why admin edits to expiration dates are not saving
  3. Whether this is a known issue with the latest version
Any guidance on debugging steps, logs to check, or known fixes would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

The description of the issue looks strange to me. Could you please submit a support ticket sending us super user account of your site and tell me ID of the subscription record which is having this issue

I will check your setup to see how the issue could happen and get it sorted for you

Hi,

Following up on my previous post — you mentioned opening a support ticket, but I’m not seeing where to do that within Membership Pro / JoomDonation. Could you please point me to the correct location to submit a ticket?

Also, the issue I reported earlier has returned. You still have backend access, so you should be able to review it directly and see the behavior happening in real time.

Please take a look when you can and let me know next steps.
