subscription expiry was created by Chris Moyses
Good afternoon
When a subscription expires, is the status automatically reset to expired, and the user disabled.
If so can this be changed, I have looked at configuration table to see if there is a setting that can be changed, I cannot find one
Regards
Chris
I have found a grace period in the configurations, at the moment it is set to zero days. Isthis what I have to change to give our members a bit more time to renew their subscription

Hi Chris
- Yes. Subscription should be expired automatically. Make sure System - Membership Pro Update Subscribers Status plugin is enabled and it will be updated. There might be delay because the plugin is only triggered to run every hour. If you want to have it update faster, you can setup cron job, see docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/plug...-status#use-cron-job (for example, cron job runs every 5 minutes)
- Also, go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, check and make sure Grace Period config option set to 0. If you set it to certain number (like 30), users will receive extra 30 days for his subscription, so it won't be expired immediately when current date is greater than subscription end date (he gets 30 days extra)
Hope the answers are clear to you
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
I have just added to my original entry, it mentions, Grace Period, the answer you gave me. At the moment it is set to zero, I will change it to 28 days. I did notice when you are in the configuration screen, when you hover the cursor over the Grace Period field, there is no pop up window with help text.
Even though we send our members 3 reminder emails, to warn them to renew their subscription, Many do nothing, we would like to give a bit of a grace period, to give them a little more time.
Would it be OK to change all the expired status's back to Active. As there are 319, I was going to do it with a database update script.
once again thanks for your help
Regards

Hi Chris
Yes there are 319 records, then Yes, you should update the status of these subscription records via PHPMYADMIN uses an SQL command (SET published = 1 WHERE published = 2)
