Credit Card Update in middle of subscription period Charges Full Amount

Hello OSTeam:

Our client recently had a member update their credit card information in their Profile.  Stripe charged the full amount of their membership as though it started the subscription over.  

Is there something I need to do to prevent this either in MP or Stripe?

The question is how he updated the credit card? Look like he subscribed for the plan again and that was the reason he is being charged full price

I tested today, just went into My Membership and updated CC.  Will get back to you about this.  Thank you for your help.
