Renewing Fixed Expiry Plans Early

Joomla 4.4 and Membership pro 3.6

I have a plan with a fixed expiry date July 31 2024.  I was assuming that members approaching expiry would be able to renew before this date to extend their membership to July 31 2025.  But if I try to renew prior to expiry a notice appears that I have no renewal options.  If I set the membership to expired and the fixed date in the past, then I can renew and the expiry date of the subscription is in the future.  I also tried setting the fixed expiry date to next year, but I still could not renew until already expired.

Is this expected behaviour or have I set something up wrong?

Go to Membership Pro -> Configuration. There is a config option called Allow Membership Renewal.

I guess you entered certain number there (for example 10) and in this case, the system will only allows renewal if there is 10 days (or less) left in the subscription

If you want to allow renewing any time customers want, set that config option to 0
