Recent problem with PayPal payments

Is anyone noticing that since yesterday, some PayPal payments are not registering in the MP dashboard? This means some subscription are left as "Pending" and need to be manually activated. 

The strange thing is that some payments will become active immediately, others will become active after at least an hour and others will stay as Pending. What's going on here? 

Just had 2 recurring payments that have not even registered in MP at all. Confused.

Hi guys, this is still unfortunately happening. I'm having to manually approve all PayPal payments. The IPN is registering the payments but the information is not getting through to MP.

Please go to Membership Pro -> Payment Plugins, click on os_paypal payment plugin to edit, set Log IPN Messages parameter to Yes

Then when next payment received and if the subscription is still Pending, please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that we can check and correct it

This is now happening again. It's been happening for around 3-4 days now and leading to some buyers filing claims with PayPal because their subscriptions are not registering. The ticket I started has also disappeared from my support history so I'm unable to see the fix that was offered.

This is a consistent and constant problem now and is starting to impact on business hugely.

I have just done the upgrade to latest, done a test renewal and can confirm this has just happened to me too

Once users completed payment for their subscription, PayPal will need to notify Membership Pro about the payment so that Membership Pro knows about it and update status of the subscription record

So if the issue happens, please set Log IPN Messages parameter to Yes as I said, then when the issue happens again, submit a support ticket so that I can check the log and guide you to check it further

This issue resolved itself again after around 4-5 days, like before. However, I've just noticed it's started happening again with 1 or 2 new subs. I believe it's a 100% PayPal issue as, if it was related to Membership Pro, it just wouldn't work on any sub. I think this month PayPal is having some issues and hopefully they'll resolve them soon.

Yes Mark. Sometime PayPal has problem with their system, but it is usually fixed fast. So hope it will be fixed soon

For me it turned out that IPN calls were sometimes being caught in an overly sensitive firewall. I whitelisted these ranges and it solved the issues
