Hi Tuan,I testing an issue with for an active PayPal recurring subscriptions and later realized that maybe I shouldn't have been able to do it all. Membership Pro currently allows me to manually renew a subscription that is already set to renew automatically through PayPal. When I do this, Membership Pro creates a paid renewal record and runs the normal renewal processes even though:
- PayPal did not process a payment.
- No PayPal renewal notification was received.
- There is no genuine PayPal transaction for the renewal.
The manual renewal also triggers the Subscription Active/Expired PHP scripts and renewal notifications.Should manual renewal even be available for an active PayPal recurring subscription? It appears that this could extend a subscription and trigger related automations without an actual payment and confusion for a customer if it was ever done on mistake.The manual renewal record also does not retain the original recurring coupon information, but I believe that may be a secondary symptom because this subscription should be renewed only after PayPal confirms the recurring payment.Could you please confirm the intended behavior and whether manual renewal should be disabled or blocked while a PayPal recurring profile remains active?Thank you,Adina
