Is it possible to have different registration forms?

I want a very simple (name, email,state) form for free memberships.
Then a more detailed one for payed memberships (which I already have)

Hi Peter

Yes, it is supported. For each custom field, you can assign it to the plans you want. So basically, each plan can have it own set of custom fields

When you edit a particular field, what option is used to assign it to a specific plan?
