We've created coupons that cover the entire price of a subscription.
When the user enters the coupon, it correctly displays that the cost is zero. However, the user must still select a payment method (in our case, "Card" or "Bank Transfer").
Is it possible that, if the cost after the coupon is "0," the user isn't required to select a payment method?

Thanks

Hello

Normally, if the cost is zero, users should not have to choose payment method as you said. Maybe your plan is a recurring plan and user is only get free for the first duration?

Could you edit the plan, change Recurring Subscription to No to see if it works ?

Thanks for the reply, Tuan,
Yes, it's a recurring subscription. I actually tried setting recurring to "No" and it works fine.
With a recurring subscription and a coupon that covers the entire subscription cost (for the first time), how can we do this?

Let me explain: We want to set up "gift cards" that a user can purchase as a gift for a friend.
Once purchased, the friend will receive a coupon code for the value of the subscription. But it's not pleasant or clear for the person who received the gift to have to enter their credit card (or other payment method), even though the subscription is free for the first year.
Do you have any suggestions for solving this?
Thanks again

If that's the case, you can edit the coupon, set Apply For to All Payments (instead of Only First Payment) and it should work

Thanks so much Tuan.
As you suggested, (Apply For All Payments) solves the problem very well!
One question: With the "Apply For All Payments" setting, the user who redeems the coupon has a valid one-year subscription. When the subscription expires after a year, what happens? Can they pay and renew normally?
I'm not sure what the difference is between the "All Payments" and "Only First Payment" settings for future renewals.
Thanks again!

Yes, they will be allowed to renew the subscription. But please edit the plan, make sure Enable Renewal set to Yes to allow them to renew after subscription expired
