1) Subscription to a acymailing list 2) administrator approval of a subscription was created by Giddey
Hello,
I just purchased a MemberShip Pro license and congratulate you on your work. It seems to perfectly meet my needs.
However, I have two questions that I haven't found answers to in the documentation or on the forum.
The site I'm configuring is billinge (French/German).
1) Is there a way to automatically subscribe to an Acy Mailing list, a subscriber based, for example, on their language or profession?
(The language and profession fields are both custom fields in MemberShip Pro) and specific lists in Acy Mailing.
I haven't found a way to do this. (And I have activated the "Membership Pro - AcyMailing" plugin.)
2) Is there a way to create a (free) plan that requires administrator approval?
For example, one free plan requires approval and another paid plan that is automatically activated after payment.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Robert

Hi Robert
1. Yes. You can edit the plan, look at ACYMailing Settings tab, there is a setting called Mailing Lists Custom Field. Choose the custom fields which you created to allow users to choose the mailing list they want to subscribe there (note that the name of the mailing list in the custom field must be exactly the name of Mailing List in ACYMailing) and it should work
2. For that free plan, set Free Plan Subscription Status parameter to Pending and when users subscribe for that plan, their subscription status will be Pending instead of Active
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks, Tuan.
But for ACYMailing, I can't find a setting called "Mailing List Custom Field" (see my screenshot).
And I double-checked that the custom field had exactly the same name in the value.
On Membership: Custom field type list: "language": Values: French,...
On ACYMailing: Lists: French
Yet I have the latest versions installed:
AcyMailing Enterprise 10.4.0
Membership Pro version 4.3.0
Regards

Hi Giddey
You need to create a create a custom field in Membership Pro to allow users to choose the mailing lists they want to subscribe. The field type of that field need to be Checkboxes. Could you please check and make sure you created that field ?

Thanks Tuan,
I finally understood how this plugin works.
However, I find it unfortunate that it only works with "checkbox" type fields because that systematically makes the choice multiple.
However, for choosing a language or a profession (which is the case in my acymailing lists), they shouldn't be multiple... It would therefore be more logical for it to work with "list" type fields (which offer the choice between multiple or not) or "radio" (which doesn't work in multiple mode).
Do you have a solution to this problem?

Could you please install this updated package of the plugin to your site, then try again to see if it works? It will allow choosing Radio and List custom field as well, that should address your concern
Please update me with the result once you tested it. If it works well, I will include this change in core package of the extension

Tuan

Hello Thuan,
Thank you for this change.
Subscribing to a list via a custom field worked fine, however, the standard assignment to mailing lists was not taken into account. (See screenshot)
Furthermore, the "Mailing List Custom Field" field only allows a single selection.
Ideally, you should be able to choose multiple custom fields (as with the "Assign..." and "Remove" fields).
Thank you again for your work.
Regards
Robert
