New purchase questions was created by Mark Corti
Hi - I've just purchased and installed Membership Pro and am starting to get it configured. I've got a few initial questions if anyone is able to help:
1) when I set up a subscription with a Fixed Expiration Date, the date is not saved. When I go back to edit the subscription, the Fixed Expiration Date field is empty. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? (Screenshots)
2) where is the Prorated Signup Cost option? docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/basi...nup-cost-explanation
3) we want offline payment to support recurring. The documentation says this is possible, but it doesn’t appear to be in the admin (there's a red cross in the relevant column). This is a showstopper I think. docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/basi...gins/offline-payment (Screenshot)
4) I want to delete user records after 3 years of inactivity. How can I do this? I want to keep all subscription records for active members.

Hi Mark
1. That option won't work for recurring subscription plan. So if you want to have plan with fixed expiration date, you need to edit the plan, set Recurring Subscription To No
2. After saving plan with fixed expiration date, you will have that option
3. The documentation is outdated. Actually you can use offline payment for recurring plan
4. We do not have that option
6. Could be because you configure your site to require users to activate their account? If you do not want that, maybe try this setup docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/faqs...ccount-automatically
Regards,
Tuan

We're a sports club and all memberships start on 1st April. How can I do this with Membership Pro? People join throughout the year, but everyone renews on April 1st.
2. After saving plan with fixed expiration date, you will have that option
Thank you, that's worked

OK - I think that is needed to comply with European & UK GDPR law

Perfect, thank you!

7) I don't understand how Group Memberships work. I've set up a subscription plan allowing a Fixed Number Of Group Members (6). I've signed up for a test subscription for that plan and logged in.
How do I add new members to my Group Membership? I want to use this for family memberships - one person signs up for the family membership at a fixed price, and then spouse + children can join with no further payment.
(I also want parents to be able to sign their children up to events using Event Booking).
Sorry for all the questions!

Hi Mark
1. Just setup a plan as you did, the only think is Recurring Subscription parameter needs to set to No as I said earlier. Users will need to come back to your site and renew the subscription manually every year
7. It is mentioned in documentation. Basically, you will need to setup menu item to allow group admin to manage group members, see docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/adva...up-members-menu-item
Regards,
Tuan
