Recurring Authorize.net was created by Mary
I have read the documentation and through all the forum posts and I feel certain I have my recurring set up done properly, however, only the first charge goes through and the plan does not automatically renew and recharge the credit card. I have used a day long subscription for testing and everything else works fine, it just does not renew. Are there some tips to find out why this is failing? I know that the recurring part of the equation is done at the payment processor, any tips on troubleshooting this issue?

Hi Mary

The question here is did the payment processor makes any charge to the user after the first payment yet? If it makes additional charge, the subscription should be renewed automatically

Regards,

Tuan

We got the recurring donation to work and it renewed the plan, however, there is not an option for the user to change the credit card info or cancel within their account as described here:

Hi Mary

For Authorize.net, we do not have a way to allow users to update credit card for their subscription. However, cancel recurring subscription is supported

That is fine, we would like the cancel button to be there and it is not though.

Hi Mary

Seem it is not a recurring subscription plan (because I still see the option to renew from your screenshot?)

Thanks for your patience, Tuan. I feel like I must be missing something basic (it wouldn't be the first time) They are recurring by default I think. I do have it set to recurring, but my client says it has not been renewing automatically. Is 1 day too short (the plan will eventually be monthly)?

Hi Mary

So for the user account which you are testing, did you actual subscribe for the plan and make payment?

The user can only cancel the subscription if they actually subscribed and paid for the plan (a valid recurring subscription registered with Authorize.net)

So if you just add the subscription record manually (did not make payment), there will be no subscription registered with payment gateway, thus it could not be cancelled

Tuan

Yes, he went to the front end of the site and subscribed to the plan as if he was a client. He was charged and he got the message about his subscription expiring.

In this case, I will need to check it directly on your site. Please submit a support ticket sending us:

- Super user account of the site
- Username and password of that subscriber account
- Link to the profile page

I will check to see why the cancel button not visible and got it sorted

Tuan
