I need two types of plans in MP and I'm wondering if this is possible:
- in one type the member signs up, pays immediately and their subscription is set to approved
- second type where the member signs up, an admin approves their subscription and then their payment (online or via cheque) is requested and the subscription is active upon payment

Hi Kaitie
Unfortunately, as of right now, we do not support approve subscription before processing payment. Users can subscribe and make payment at the time they sign up for the plan, we do not have approve before payment step

Hi Tuan,
That's no problem.
As a follow up, is it possible for the plan to be changed on a subscription and for the values (amount, tax, total) to be calculated automatically? So just one transaction would happen if the plan is changed.
Currently it seems like I can change the plan, but the values are kept from the original plan.
Thank again

Hi Kaitie
Change settings of a plan will only affect new subscriptions. It won't change data of existing subscriptions

Tuan

I do not understand your last question. However, as I mentioned earlier, if you change price of the plan, it will only affect the subscription created after you make the change. Existing subscriptions will still keep old price

Sorry, I needed a little more detail.
Plan A: 30 days for $30
Plan B: 30 days for $90
The user subscribed to Plan A, but I want to change their subscription to Plan B.
When I select Plan B within their subscription, the pricing of $30 remains in their Payment Information.
Is it possible for the payment information to indicate that they've already paid $30, therefore have a remaining balance owed of $60?
Is the only option to cancel / refund the subscription to Plan A and then create a new subscription for Plan B?
I hope this makes a little more sense! Thank you!

What if they already use some days from subscription plan A? Maybe in this case, the easiest option would be you create a coupon code with the amount 30$ and send the coupon to the users so that he can use to get discount for plan B subscription
The other option would be create upgrade rule to allow upgrading from plan A to plan B, see docs.joomdonation.com/membershippro/basi...lans/upgrade-options and use Prorated option to give them discount while upgrading from plan A to plan B

Tuan
