coupon code should only be valid once for recurring subscription

We offer a recurring plan with a first month free. Is it possible to get a discount on the first payment with a coupon? I found the field "Apply for" in the item coupons. However, this is not listed in the documentation. We do not want there to be a discount on all recrurring payments.

You can set Apply For setting to Only First Payment and users will only get discount for the first payment, not regular payment. I believe that should work perfectly for your need
