Entering a "new user" for another person was created by Al Khamsa, Inc.
Hi Tuan,

If I try to enter a  new membership subscription for someone who already has an account on our website for another reason Membership Pro won't process the membership.  In this case Membership Pro is assuming that the "new user"  never has had an account on our website.  I am not going to know the password to log in as that person.
Is there a way around this?  They have no membership pro subscription at the moment.
Thanks!

Hi

For this, you should add the subscription record from administrator area of your site instead of subscribing for the plan from frontend

Please access to Subscriptions Management, then press New button in the toolbar to add the new subscription for that existing user

Yes, I know about entering from the admin area.

I think what you are saying is if an email address already exists in the Users records (independent of Membership Pro) you cannot enter that user as a new Membership Pro user. Am I correct?

Yes, that's correct. That's the requirement by Joomla, each user needs to have a unique email address to create an account
