Membership Pro Manual payments

Morning, our organisation is using Membership Pro. We have around 2,500 members. We are currently only using Opayo / Sage Pay for our members to pay us, however we have many who pay us by Direct Debt or Standing order.
I have seen that there is within the program a manual payment add-in that I could rename, say Direct Debit. I am being told by the company running the program for us that if we activate the manual payment add-in we would need to reload our entire database and change their membership numbers. I am not wishing to change any current members until we have the system working. I would like to update any member paying by DD, but manually over a period of time.

Enable offline payment plugin, it will give your users a way to make payment for subscription and don't change anything else. So I don't understand the change mentioned by the company running the problem for you

Following on from this, would it be possible to upload a file of payments, say for Direct debits, and the system to be updated with the payment / value. I was thinking about a CSV file with membership number, date, payment type and value. This would save us a considerable amount of time to update manually especially in our busy period around Dec / Jan each year.

That's not supported. So if you need that, there would be some kind of custom development needed
