custom radio fields in multilingual site was created by lorna guttormson
We will be adding a second language to our site in future. How, with a multilingual, site do you define the radio field options so that the interface gives the options in the language of choice but the value stored in the database is the same regardless of language - for example with english/french, defining gender the choices would be male/mâle  or female/femme   .  The value stored in the database should be the same regardless of language   - perhaps m or f.    Again for a yes/no field  - the french would be oui/non   and might more easily be stored as 1/0 in the database.  How would this be managed in the definition of the custom radio fields in a multilingual site?  Do the translation tables take care of this - the value  input on a french interface get translated to english and get stored as english and the code just looks for english values?  We aren't ready to make our site bilingual yet but want to take any measures needed now to enable this later.

Hello

Unfortunately, the value is not the same. The system will store the data defined in Values setting of custom fields for each language

So in short, it will be different, depend on the language users use for their subscription

Regards,

Tuan
