Recurring plan, end date was created by Fransen Beheer
Hi all,
It seems that subscription to a recurring plan (1 year subscription period) ends 1 year after subscription date. If I set an end-date, it is not stored. How can I set up this to end the subscription at a fixed date?
Thanks,
Laurens

Hi
You cannot have a fixed end date for recurring subscription plan. For recurring plan, renewal happens automatically, so the end date is calculated base on the date users sign up and subscription length of the plan, it could not be a fixed end date

Tuan

In my case, people pay for their annual subscription, elapsing 1 calendar year. So it would be very handy to have that option
As a workaround, can I set the end date to 31 December manually, so that all next renewals will be at start of the new calendar year?

That would only works for one time subscription plan only, not recurring plan
Even if you change the subscription end date manually, the payment gateway will only process next payment for the subscription one year from the date users sign up

Tuan

In your case, maybe edit the plan, set Recurring Subscription to No and it will work as you want. But users will need to renew their subscription manually, not automatic renewal

We offer our members to choose between manual or automatic renewal.
What if I adjust the sign up date into 31 December? Will that trigger the automatic renewal and payment on end of next year?

No, that won't work. The renewal date is determined by the date which users subscribe and subscription length of the plan. It does not change if you change start date of the subscription

OK thanks Tuan.
Maybe in a next release? There might be more sports clubs like ours with the same wish, having an annual subscription for a year, being paid at the beginning of a new calendar year.
Best wishes for the new year!

It is not possible to support it. The reason is because we depend on payment gateway for handle recurring payment and the way you asked is not supported by payment gateway
Happy New Year !
