Pending Subscription Status for PayPal

The Offline payment methods have a plugin parameter for "Subscription Status" where default is "Pending".

The PayPal payment method does not have this plugin parameter - it always sets subscription status "Active" if the payment went through .

My use case is that even if the payment goes through, our club still has a vetting process and the membership secretary wants to specifically set subscription status as active once that vetting process is completed. Basically, an active membership is contingent on more than just receipt of payment. Is this possible now and I am missing something? Or could it be added to the wish list?

It's not possible now. If we set status of the subscription to Pending, there is no way to distinguish between subscriptions which have payment completed and the subscriptions which don't process payment, so I think we need to find a different way to handle the request

How about configuring Joomla to require administrator to approve user account? By doing that, the subscription is still active, but users won't be allowed to login until administrator approves the account
