Reminders being sent after users have resubscribed

We are getting issues with users who have recently subscribed again getting sent email reminders telling them their subscription is due for renewal. We've checked the configuration and it all seems to be ok. We've had reports off of lots of different users saying the same thing. Any ideas what's happening please?

Usually, the issue happens because you have a dev/copy version of the site running else where and the reminder is sent from that copied website. Please check to see if it is applied for your case and if it is Yes, disable Reminder plugin from that site should prevent the issue
