Group Admin Emails sent to Group Members

Group Admin Emails sent to Group Members was created by Huw Evans
Hi, first of all I'm finding the software to be very good, so thank you!
I have found what I think is probably a bug as follows:
I created a test account on my Development Environment. I used this test account to buy a group membership subscription I used offline payment and activated the subscription in the back end of the website. This all worked correctly.
I then used the test account to invite a user to join the group. This created an appropriate link which was sent to the target group member email address.
I used the link to add the group member to the account. Their account was created without issue and they were added to the group and gained appropriate permissions...
However when the new group member joined the group, an email intended for the group admin was sent to the group member (as well as the admin).
This is the email: join group group admin email

<p>Regards,</p>
<p>[COMPANY_NAME]</p>
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to fix it?
Obviously I could just change this email text but that seems an awkward work-around.

Hi
That kind of email should only be sent to admin of the group, not group members. So you are saying that the group member who joined the group receive both emails :
- One for group member
- And one for group admin ?
And group admin receives that email as well ?

Yes that is correct.
The group admin receives the email above. The group member receives 2 emails: One addressed to the group member the other one is intended for the group admin.

Hi Huw
I believe I figured out the error and got it fixed. Please access to My Downloads menu item, download latest version of the extension and update it to your site. Then check it again and update us with the result

Thank you Tuan,
I just downloaded the update package from your website and installed the package from the downloaded file.
It was the same version number as the one that I had installed via Joomla update, but yes the issue is now resolved.
Should I install updates this way in the future? Or is the Joomla update feature usually more reliable?

You can install it manually via Joomla extension installer. This change is small, so I haven't released new version of the extension yet
