Google Recaptcha v3 Problem was created by Paul Adamson
Hi Tuan, I have been unable to get recaptcha v3 working on our Subscribe page, although up until a couple of months ago (?) it had been working fine. I have the v3 key pair set up on the site and I have confirmed that it works on our Contact page. However, on the MSP Subscribe page, signing up causes the page to return with Warning: Empty solution not allowed. How can it work on the Contact page and not the MSP page?
One thing to note is that I am using a Content Security Policy HTTP headers plugin in order to get some scripts to be allowed in Chrome. If a script is missing from the allowed list, then the devtools console shows the CSP error and I can add it. I do not think this is the problem here as I can remove the recaptcha script from the allow list, try to subscribe and see the CSP error. Then put the script back and the CSP error disappears, although Recaptcha v3 solution is still empty. I do not see any third party scripts running on the Subscribe page.
Do you have any thoughts as to what might be happening?

Hi Paul
It is well-known problem causes by conflict between Google recaptcha and mootools script uses on Joomla 3. The solution is using this plugin extensions.joomla.org/extension/mootools-enabler-disabler/ to disable mootools and the issue should be sorted

I also have this problem but the site is using Joomla 5 (not Joomla 3).
And using invisible captcha (V3)
I cannot see mootools enabled on my site (although it was once a J3 site).
I dont want to install something that is not compatible with my site.
Any further ideas?

Hi Alison
This should not happen on Joomla 5. What error you are having? And does the captcha works on other parts of your site like contact form ?

HI Tuan
Yes it is working OK on contact form.
When a user completes the subscription form, they add the password at the beginning
When all questions are completed they accept t&c and click 'Process Subscription'
Upon pressing 'Process Subscription' it takes them back to the beginning of the form, the password fields are blank and the CAPTCA shows the error 'Empty solution not allowed.'
They then add the password for the second time, and Process Sub... same result
On the third attempt at putting in the password and processing the form it goes through to the payment page.
The form is at ileap.co.uk/membership/form
Thanks for looking into this for me

Hi Tuan-
I am having the same problem with Membership Pro 3.6.1 on Joomla 5.1—that is, getting the Captcha error: "Empty solution not allowed." when testing the membership sign-up page.
Do you know why this is happening?

Never mind. It was a Captcha version issue. All fixed.
