Subscription renewal not working

Subscription renewal not working was created by Vince Bodie
We have a plan with the following settings in the Plan Manager:
Basic Information tab:
Price: $40
Subscription Length: 1 Year
Lifetime Membership?: No
Enable Renewal: Yes
Renew Options tab:
Length: 1
Unit: Years
Price: $25
General Configuration:
Allow Membership Renewal: 30 days before the subscription expired
Subscription Renewal Behavior: Update Subscription
But when looking at the front end after logging in, a subscription that is expiring within the 30 day renewal period shows no option to renew, only to upgrade to another plan. What do we need to do to fix this?

Hi Vince
Could be because the plan is a recurring subscription plan ? In this case, the system will only allow renewing when subscription expired (to avoid having two recurring subscriptions, thus being charged twice)
Could you please check to see if it applied to your case ?

Yes, it was set as a recurring subscription plan. I saw nothing in your documentation about this type of plan not offering early renewal. Did I miss something? Is there a technical reason that a recurring plan cannot be renewed early? In any case I have changed all of our plans to non-recurring. We've had some members who were not aware of the auto-renew function and did not like it.

Hi Vince
As mentioned, for recurring subscription plan, renewal will happen automatically, no need for manual renewal and that's the reason the system does not display renew options/does not allow renewing manually
