Renew Subscription to Different Plan was created by Kaitie
Hello,
I have a site with 2 year-long subscription plans: digital and paper. Neither is an upgrade from the other and membership pro is set to create a new subscription on renewal.
I have a user who wants to 'renew' his subscription from paper to digital. The renew menu item obvioiusly only displays the option to renew his current plan.
If I direct him to purchase a new plan, he will either have to do so on the specific date that the current one expires or he will have an overlap between the plans.
Is it possible to 'renew' to a different plan?
Thank you,
Kaitie

Hi Kaitie
Please try the following setup:
1. In Membership Pro, create a membership category, set Grouping Plans to Yes
2. Put the two plans into that category
3. Then if someone subscribe for First Plan, and then later, subscribe again for the second plan, that second subscription will be treated as renewal of first plan (although it is not renew to the same plan)
I guess it should address your issue
Regards,
Tuan
